I just found, on my computer room floor, a scrap of poem by Archibald Rutledge, torn from a magazine by my mother heaven knows when. I dedicate it to Lordville -
"The Source" by Archibald Rutledge
I from hill country
A parable bring:
Deep in those woodlands sweet,
A hidden spring
Gives a wild mountain stream
Music to sing.
So you have given me
All my life long
Love from your wildwoods,
And strength to be strong,
Secret, mysterious
Source of my song!

Getting a head start on Christmas, cont.
As fall drifts down on us, it occurs to me that I should be working on Christmas miniatures again. My granddaughter talked me into this tiny Santa last year and he came out great - I even sold a few and she got a "commission" as the designer. Then I went a step further and made one half the size! The Santa is about 5/12th of an inch tall as are the other figures - the size of people in a dollhouse for a 1" scale dollhouse or 6" ornaments for a 1" scale tree.
